about me
Born into a family of musicians in Moldova, my journey with piano began at seven and has taken me across borders — from the soulful folk traditions of my childhood to earning a Master’s degree at Finland’s renowned Sibelius Academy, one of the world’s top 10 music schools. Now based in Vancouver, I share my love of music through teaching and performance, continuing a lifelong passion that has always been at the center of who I am.
My teaching style is shaped by the belief that music flourishes in encouragement, not fear. I create a warm and supportive space where students — children and adults alike — feel safe to explore, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Combining the rigor of classical training with patience and creativity, I help students build both skill and confidence, nurturing a love of music that lasts a lifetime.
Alongside teaching, I perform in classical concerts and ensembles, as well as in two groups: Lacribeth, a piano–flute duo exploring contemporary and jazzy repertoire, and Fetele din Balkani, a trio honoring Balkan folk traditions.
Private piano lessons
I teach both beginners discovering music for the first time and advanced players refining their skills. My lessons are rooted in classical training but open to modern repertoire, always guided by patience, warmth, and creativity. What makes my approach unique is the belief that music should be learned in a safe and encouraging space — where mistakes are part of growth and every student, child or adult, can flourish. Lessons are tailored to each student, including custom arrangements for pieces they want to play, as well as fun improvisation exercises to spark creativity and musical expression.
Beginner
Develop confidence and skill from the very first note. I emphasize proper hand position, technique, and sight-reading, guiding students carefully while giving them the freedom to explore the instrument.
Intermediate
Grow your skills and confidence with more challenging repertoire, deeper expression, and refined technique. I also help students prepare for concerts, competitions, and RCM exams, ensuring they feel confident on stage.
Advanced
For experienced players aiming for mastery, I offer coaching on interpretation, stylistic depth, and performance preparation. Lessons can be tailored toward concerts, competitions, exams, or professional goals.
